Gerontologist & Behavioral Scientist

Research applied to products, programs, and places.

Most researchers bring strong methods and build an understanding of a population through observation alone. I bring that same rigor, plus formal theoretical training in aging and family caregiving dynamics — and 15+ years applying it to real products, programs, and places, not just papers.

Grounded in theory, not just methods

My approach draws on frameworks like Lawton's ecological model of aging, socioemotional selectivity theory, and Pearlin's stress process model of caregiving. These aren't background reading — they inform how I design studies, interpret results, and tell an authentic finding from a spurious correlation.
